UNITED KINGDOM
Understanding Airsoft Legislation in the United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, the carrying of replica weapons is banned in public places. This restriction is enforced by the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003.
Furthermore, "realistic replica weapons" are prohibited from sale, manufacture, or import in the UK. "Non-realistic replica weapons" are predominantly clear, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright blue, bright green, bright pink, or bright purple. These regulations are outlined in the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006.
In order to purchase (and/or sell) one or more realistic replica guns, you must be registered with the United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association (UKARA). Retailers who are members of the association have access to the database of airsoft players in the UK. To learn more about UKARA and the registration process, visit their website.
